Enrollment is now
open for our Clinical Studies course. This
course gives graduates of the 150 Hour Massage
Technician program an opportunity to utilize their
tools and techniques in a clinical setting.
Class time includes discussion of the
client/therapist relationship, communication,
refinement of body mechanics and massage
techniques, self-care and specific feedback to
issues encountered in the clinic experience.
The practical hands-on experience in the clinic
will solidify and encourage students to discover
their strengths and work with their
challenges. Students will enhance and build
their confidence, feel empowered to cultivate
their professionalism and develop a unique
artistry in their work. This course is
on-going giving students the opportunity to begin
their 30 hour requirement at any time.
Clinic hours will be held at the IPSB Massage
Clinic in Santa Monica.

Neck Techniques
with Bruce Schonfeld
The neck makes the
trade off of increased mobility for decreased
stability. Perhaps this is why it's such a
common sight of strain and discomfort. This
class is devoted to alleviating neck pain and the
restoration of normal range of motion.
Direct and indirect technique manipulation styles
(away from and into the barrier, respectively)
will be explained, demonstrated and
practiced. Structural-Craniosacral
considerations, self-help and personal
ergomomics will be discussed
