The IPSB Experience

Beyond Massage—A Process of Awakening and Healing
Aside from instruction on how to give a fantastic massage, IPSB offers an opportunity for the student to increase awareness of his or her own body, heart and mind, thus beginning to heal self while helping others to heal.
Masterful Form—The Power and Beauty

Mastery of all artful movements, including sports, martial arts and dance, requires learning the proper form. The IPSB Massage Technique(TM), derived from the ancient art known as Tai Ch i Ch’uan, is one that engages the core, the entire physical body and the life force energy that animates all living things. The result is a far more powerful, flowing and delicious sensory experience for the client, which is stress-free and energizing for the practitioner. Because our unique approach to body mechanics results in an exquisite massage, while enabling the practitioner to work longer and dramatically reduce one’s risk of injury, graduates are in high demand by employers.

The Cultivation of Sensitivity

The study of hands-on technique and anatomy/physiology is combined with in-depth training in sensory awareness, movement and body psychology. This well-rounded approach focuses on the whole person, recognizing that touching the body touches the soul.

“I loved my experience at I.P.S.B. The ‘family’ type atmosphere is warm and inviting. I instantly felt comfortable as I started my education. I.P.S.B.’s program has a wonderful focus on proper body positioning to protect and secure longevity as a massage therapist. But I was completely drawn in by the Body/Mind philosophy. I felt as if my time of education at I.P.S.B. was not only in Massage Therapy, but also an education in My Self. After completing the 550 hour program, I felt as if I knew how to support and take care of myself so I could help support and take care of others. I felt 100% confident in all aspects of the massage modalities I learned. And still, to this day, if I ever have a question, I know I can talk to my former instructors-now friends!”
